Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has been making remarkable progress in the green energy sector. The government has allocated significant production and manufacturing capacities for green hydrogen, with pilot projects underway in key sectors like steel, mobility, and shipping. India's renewable energy market is flourishing, boasting a substantial installed capacity mainly from solar and wind sources. To accelerate this transition, the National Green Hydrogen Mission was launched with ambitious targets to produce green hydrogen, reduce CO2 emissions, attract investments, and create jobs. Complementing these efforts, the Green Hydrogen Certification scheme ensures transparency and credibility in green hydrogen production. This holistic approach aims to revolutionize India's energy sector, making it more sustainable, economically beneficial, and environmentally friendly.
