Lhyfe has made history by being the first French player to obtain the European RFNBO (Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin) certification, which is considered the most stringent for green hydrogen. This certification signifies that Lhyfe's production comes from 100% renewable electricity and adheres to the rigorous sustainability standards set by the European Union. The initial certification was granted to Lhyfe's Bouin site in Vendée, France, which has a 1 MW capacity for electrolysis production. The company has already delivered the first certified hydrogen batches by the end of May. Other Lhyfe sites in Bessières and Buléon in France, along with the Schwäbisch Gmünd site in Germany, are currently undergoing the certification process. This achievement allows Lhyfe's industrial clients to enhance the value of green hydrogen in their production chain and access support programs in Europe. Matthieu Guesné, the founder and CEO of Lhyfe, expressed their commitment to providing fully traceable green hydrogen to the industry and mobility sector across Europe. By collaborating with European entities like CertifHy, Tüv Süd, and Atmen, Lhyfe has positioned itself as a pioneer in sustainable hydrogen production.
