Vallourec has achieved a significant milestone with the certification of its vertical hydrogen gas storage solution, Delphy, by DNV. Delphy, designed for storing hydrogen between 1 and 100 tonnes at depths of up to 100 meters, has been described by Vallourec as a solution that offers safety and reliability. This certification paves the way for commercial deployment, marking a crucial advancement for Vallourec in the hydrogen industry. Delphy is tailored for complex industrial environments and caters to various sectors such as green hydrogen production, synthetic fuel manufacturing, green ammonia production, steelworks, and refineries. The solution has garnered interest with two memorandums of understanding signed with H2V and NextChem Tech, indicating a market potential of approximately €2 billion from multiple projects in progress globally.
