BASF and Plug Power have entered into a Cooperation Agreement where BASF will provide its advanced DeOxo catalysts, including the Purivate™ Pd15 product, to be integrated into Plug Power's hydrogen liquefaction plants globally. BASF's DeOxo catalysts are known for their exceptional performance at low temperatures, reducing the dependence on expensive precious metals for hydrogen purification within the plants. Additionally, BASF has qualified adsorbents like Sorbead® Air for use in Plug Power's hydrogen plants, contributing to efficient dehydration of electrolyzed hydrogen. The focus of this collaboration is on hydrogen liquefaction plants with capacities ranging from 30 to 90 tons per day. BASF has successfully completed a stringent technical qualification process, showcasing its capability and reliability in the hydrogen sector.
