Motor Oil has introduced Greece's first public hydrogen refuelling station in Agioi Theodoroi under its AVIN brand. The €3 million initiative, partly funded by the EU's Connecting Europe Facility, currently sources green hydrogen from Austria's Wien Energie through Coral Gas deliveries. Motor Oil aims to transition to hydrogen from its own facility by 2026. The station's construction was overseen by BFS, a subsidiary of Motor Oil. Plans for additional stations in Akrata and Thriasio are underway, with financial backing secured. Beyond vehicles, hydrogen will power Motor Oil's refinery and lubricants arm, LPC, emphasizing a holistic approach to sustainable practices in the energy and transportation sectors.
