H2APEX Group SCA has finalized the acquisition of HH2E Werk Lubmin GmbH, making it the sole owner of a crucial hydrogen project in Lubmin, Germany. The completion of insolvency proceedings for HH2E Werk Lubmin GmbH marked a significant milestone for H2APEX, enabling the expansion of its production capacities at Germany's most attractive hydrogen location. This strategic move allows H2APEX to capitalize on the site's direct access to offshore wind farms, ensuring a sustainable energy source for green hydrogen production. The acquired land already has the necessary grid connection from 50Hertz and a water supply, laying a strong foundation for the hydrogen project. With plans to build a 100 MW plant initially by 2028 and scale it up to 1,000 MW in the medium term, H2APEX is committed to advancing green hydrogen production on a large scale. By focusing on decarbonizing industrial value chains and providing green hydrogen for energy-intensive sectors like steel and chemicals, H2APEX aims to contribute to the energy transition towards sustainability.
