HPQ Silicon Inc. and its French subsidiary, NOVACIUM SAS, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GLD Alloys to accelerate the industrial-scale production of METAGENE™, a next-generation fuel that enables high-pressure green hydrogen generation. This strategic partnership focuses on utilizing GLD's expertise in producing low-carbon recycled aluminum alloys to create METAGENE™, with an energy density surpassing conventional solutions. The use of recycled aluminum results in a significant reduction in carbon emissions, making METAGENE™ a sustainable and economically appealing product. The collaboration aims to transition METAGENE™ from pilot-scale to full-scale production by 2027, offering a cost-effective, autonomous green hydrogen solution. With plans for operational field tests by 2026 and commercial production of 500 tonnes per year by 2027, the partnership is set to lead the green energy market. The ambitious timeline and commitment to sustainability position HPQ Silicon and Novacium as key players in the industry.
