Juno Joule Green Energy and Select Energy GmbH have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop a green hydrogen and ammonia facility in Andhra Pradesh, India. The agreement was formalized at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. By partnering with Select Energy, Juno Joule aims to establish a world-class, export-oriented green energy hub. The project, with an investment of $1.3 billion, will be located in Mulapeta Port on India's East Coast and is set to produce around 180 KTPA of green hydrogen annually by 2029. This hydrogen will be converted into up to one million tons of green ammonia for export. The collaboration includes equity participation, development of ammonia export terminals, and alignment with European regulatory frameworks. Select Energy will support project financing, logistics, and regulatory aspects, opening access to markets like the European Union and Japan. The initiative is expected to create thousands of jobs, promote technology transfer, and position Andhra Pradesh as a significant player in the global clean energy sector.
