The finalists include companies like Calyx.eco and Endua from Australia, Beijing AIForce Technology and Beijing Phabuilder Biotechnology from China, and Circular Unite from Singapore, among others. The GHAC initiative, according to PepsiCo APAC Chief Sustainability Officer Ashley Brown, is instrumental in driving both sustainability outcomes and commercial value for the company and the participating startups in the Asia Pacific region. The program aims to foster agility, local relevance, and innovation tailored to local needs, facilitating the testing and scaling of solutions efficiently. Notable success stories from past cohorts include collaborations with Powered Carbon and Alternō, focusing on CO₂-based soil enhancers and sand-based thermal energy storage systems, respectively. Each finalist stands to benefit from a $20,000 grant, access to PepsiCo's global network of experts, mentorship, and tailored learning modules. The winning startup will receive an additional $100,000 to further develop and scale its innovation. Brown expresses optimism about the future prospects of sustainable infrastructure investments in APAC, drawing inspiration from the program's past achievements.
