- Partnerships with PLN, PT SMI, and the provincial government of East Nusa Tenggara aim to support financing and infrastructure for stable power supply.
- Renewstable® projects combine renewable energy with green hydrogen storage systems to provide continuous electricity and potentially decarbonize maritime transport.
- The agreements align with Indonesia's goal to reduce fossil fuel reliance, showcasing green hydrogen as a key component of its future energy strategy.
HDF Energy, also known as Hydrogène de France, has made significant strides in Indonesia by signing strategic agreements to accelerate the development of its Renewstable® green hydrogen power plants. These agreements were formally signed in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The first memorandum of understanding was with PLN and PT SMI to secure financing for the 23 ongoing Renewstable® projects in Indonesia, with a total investment of €2.3bn. Another agreement with the provincial government of East Nusa Tenggara focuses on enhancing regional cooperation and infrastructure for stable power supply. HDF Energy's innovative power plants combine renewable energy sources like solar and wind with green hydrogen storage systems to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply. Additionally, excess hydrogen can contribute to decarbonizing regional maritime transport. The collaboration also extends to a decarbonized maritime initiative involving HDF Energy, PLN, and PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, with high-power fuel cells manufactured in France. These developments align well with Indonesia's efforts to shift away from fossil fuels and emphasize green hydrogen in its energy mix, emphasizing long-term technological and financial partnerships.
