Toyota and Rehlko have joined forces to bring hydrogen fuel cell generators for commercial power applications. The agreement involves Toyota supplying its hydrogen-powered fuel cell modules for Rehlko's stationary power generators. This collaboration was announced at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo. Toyota's General Manager, Thibaut de Barros Conti, expressed excitement about integrating Rehlko's systems with Toyota's fuel cell technology to create cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions. The focus is on developing generators that meet conventional standards and can power essential facilities like data centers, promoting energy resilience during harsh weather conditions and grid failures. The partnership's highlight is the creation of a 1-MW fuel cell generator designed to help customers achieve zero local emissions and enhance energy resilience. Rehlko's President, Charles Hunsucker, emphasized the importance of this technology in meeting customers' resilience goals. The collaboration between Rehlko and Toyota began with a 100-kW hydrogen fuel cell generator project and has now expanded to a commercial 1-MW system, showcasing the scalability of Toyota's research in hydrogen fuel cell technology. Toyota's extensive experience in hydrogen fuel cell research, spanning over 30 years, has positioned them as leaders in the field. They have successfully tested systems in various environments and are currently operating in Southern California and Kentucky.
