In Belle, West Virginia, a new facility by Clean-Seas is set to revolutionize the way post-use plastics are managed. The groundbreaking ceremony for Clean-Seas took place at the former 84 Lumber building in Belle, where the company plans to become the United State's first Plastic Conversion Network Facility. The facility, a subsidiary of Clean Vision, aims to divert plastics from landfills and convert them into clean feedstock for AquaHTM Hydrogen. Utilizing pyrolysis technology, which involves high heat without oxygen, the plastics are broken down into solid, liquid, and gas components. The synthetic gas produced powers the process, while the liquid component can be used as a precursor to new plastics. Additionally, other clean fuels and lubricants can also be derived from this process. The President of Clean-Seas West Virginia emphasized the goal of maximizing hydrogen production in the future. Initially processing 50 tons of plastic per day and creating 40 jobs at the Belle facility, Clean-Seas plans to expand operations to handle 200 tons of plastic daily, leading to more job opportunities. By focusing on converting non-recyclable plastics into usable products, the facility aims to address the global plastic crisis and contribute to a sustainable future of energy production in West Virginia.
