The grant, awarded to the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology (ECST), aims to enhance workforce training programs in sustainable transportation. Led by Professor David Blekhman, the initiative focuses on developing a skilled clean transportation workforce and positioning the region as a leader in climate-aligned innovation. With the support of the Coalition for Clean Air, the university aims to promote opportunities for students to acquire advanced technical skills in sustainable transportation. The grant program, administered by the California Jobs First Los Angeles Collaborative, aims to address the economic development needs of Los Angeles County.
