International energy consultancy Penspen has expanded its presence in the north-east of Scotland with the inauguration of a new office in Aberdeen's Balmoral Business Park. Situated at Altens, the office consolidates the expertise of Penspen and C&I Engineering Solutions, acquired in October 2024. With over 200 specialist engineers, the office will focus on energy security and transition projects, including the HyNet CO2 transportation pipeline in Liverpool Bay and hydrogen gap analysis for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline. Darren Bartlett, Director of Engineering and Energy Transition at Penspen, highlighted the significance of Aberdeen as a hub and the company's commitment to the region's future. The new base will facilitate collaboration, service improvement, and delivery of training courses on hydrogen and CO2 infrastructure repurposing.
