U.S.-based Plug Power Inc. has partnered with German company BASF to incorporate BASF's purification solutions in its Hydrogen liquefaction plants. This collaboration involves utilizing BASF's Private Pd15 DeOxo catalysts and Oxygen and water removal solutions to enhance the economic viability of liquid hydrogen plants. BASF's Senior Vice President Detlef Ruff expressed pride in earning the approval of other top players in the green hydrogen industry. Plug Power's Vice President Daniel Kennedy shared optimism about providing clients with reliable end-to-end solutions for hydrogen liquefaction, particularly focusing on plants with capacities of 30, 60, and 90 tons per day. Plug Power's recent achievements include securing a $525 million debt facility deal with Yorkville Advisors and launching a Hydrogen liquefaction facility in Louisiana through a joint venture. Despite reporting lower-than-expected Q4 earnings, the company's strategic moves position it well for growth in the green hydrogen sector. The collaboration with BASF signifies a step towards advancing hydrogen liquefaction technology and increasing productivity and efficiency in the industry.
