A specialized Jordanian team, led by the Director of the Renewable Energy Department at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ya’qoub Marar, visited the Netherlands and Belgium to explore advancements in green hydrogen production. The delegation engaged with industry experts and officials to understand operational frameworks and technological innovations in the green hydrogen sector. Marar emphasized Jordan's strategic interest in green hydrogen for sustainable energy development. The visit included discussions on feasibility and implementation of green hydrogen initiatives within Jordan. The delegation visited hydrogen export terminals and technology assessment centers crucial for green hydrogen production and distribution. This mission aligns with the efforts of the Netherlands and Belgium in advancing their green hydrogen projects towards carbon neutrality and energy sustainability. Supported by the World Bank and the Multi-Donor Trust Fund, the visit reflects international cooperation in promoting renewable energy solutions and environmental stewardship.
