Adani Enterprises, a leading company in India, has launched the country's first hydrogen fuel cell truck in Chhattisgarh to promote cleaner transportation. These trucks, developed in collaboration with energy technology firms and auto manufacturers, are set to replace diesel vehicles in Adani Group's logistics operations. Each truck is equipped with smart technology and three hydrogen tanks, capable of carrying up to 40 tonnes of cargo over a 200-kilometer range. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister flagged off the first truck in Raipur, which will be used for transporting coal to the state's power plant. This initiative showcases the state's commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon footprint. Adani Group aims to pioneer new standards in sustainable mining practices by incorporating technologies like hydrogen fuel cells, autonomous dozer push, solar power, and more. The hydrogen-powered trucks produce no harmful emissions and minimal noise, making them an environmentally friendly alternative to diesel trucks. By switching to cleaner fuels, the project aims to reduce emissions in the mining sector, promoting a greener future for transportation and mining operations.
