Doosan Enerbility and Korea Western Power have officially entered a partnership to develop and demonstrate mid-sized hydrogen power plant turbines in Korea. The signing ceremony, which took place at Doosan Enerbility's Changwon headquarters, marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at expanding into overseas markets. Doosan Enerbility will focus on developing the technology for the hydrogen power plant turbines, while Korea Western Power will apply them to new power plants and conduct on-site testing to demonstrate their performance. The joint effort is motivated by the goal of increasing the utilization of clean hydrogen in power generation and establishing a reliable hydrogen power infrastructure. By involving domestic enterprises in the project, the partnership also seeks to promote the international competitiveness of Korea's hydrogen turbines. Vice Chairman Jung Yeon-in expressed confidence in the partnership's ability to enhance domestic hydrogen power stability and drive overseas expansion. Doosan Enerbility's commitment to developing hydrogen turbines as a sustainable power generation solution is evident in its plan to finalize both 90MW and 400MW hydrogen turbines by 2028, contributing significantly to the advancement of zero-carbon energy technologies.
