A recent report by the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) highlights Egypt's remarkable progress in the hydrogen sector, emphasizing its leading position in the Arab world with 38 hydrogen-related projects. These initiatives, concentrated in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, demonstrate Egypt's commitment to clean energy and sustainable development. The report also points out the surge in hydrogen projects across the Arab region, reaching approximately 130 projects, indicating a substantial increase compared to previous years. Egypt's proactive approach in partnering with international stakeholders and driving clean energy initiatives positions it as a regional hub for sustainable energy. With 14 activated memorandums of understanding and plans to establish a production capacity of 18 million tons per year, Egypt is making significant strides in the hydrogen and green ammonia sectors.
