The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) have officially formed a strategic partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This collaboration is focused on advancing and deploying zero-emission hydrogen solutions. The agreement entails the sharing of valuable resources such as industry reports, educational materials, and best practices. Additionally, both parties will exchange insights on government policies, regulatory frameworks, and incentives relevant to the hydrogen sector. Furthermore, the partnership will involve joint efforts in organizing seminars, webinars, and networking events in both Vietnam and Canada to foster knowledge exchange and promote hydrogen technologies. The agreement also highlights the intention to explore opportunities for clean hydrogen procurement and the utilization of hydrogen-based energy applications. Nicolas Hilario, the Interim President and CEO of CHA, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the potential to boost trade within the ASEAN context due to shared similarities in energy and transportation sectors. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of VAHC, also conveyed optimism, noting that the partnership with CHA marks the first collaboration with a hydrogen association in the American continent. Both CHA and VAHC aim to leverage this partnership to enhance project development, organize joint seminars, and share knowledge to strengthen hydrogen communities across Vietnam, ASEAN, and Canada, aligning with the net-zero goals in the Asia Pacific region. The CHA, a non-profit association in Canada, represents various stakeholders in the country's hydrogen sector, while VAHC serves as a platform to establish a hydrogen community in Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region, bringing together key players to drive progress in clean energy initiatives.
