India and the European Union have jointly launched two major research initiatives under the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) focusing on marine pollution and green hydrogen production from waste. The projects, supported by a combined investment of ₹391 crore, aim to develop innovative solutions in environmental sustainability. The initiative on marine pollution, co-funded by the EU and India's Ministry of Earth Sciences, will work on advanced tools to monitor and reduce the impact of pollutants on marine ecosystems.
