IndianOil has made significant strides in promoting clean energy by finalizing the Levelized Cost of Hydrogen for establishing a 10,000 Tonnes Per Annum Green Hydrogen Generation Unit at its Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex in India. This project is a major leap for the company into the green hydrogen sector and is set to be the largest green hydrogen initiative in India to date. The plant, expected to be operational by December 2027, aims to replace the fossil-fuel-based hydrogen currently used in the refinery's operations with green hydrogen, resulting in a substantial reduction in carbon emissions. This transition aligns with IndianOil's commitment to sustainability and a more environment-friendly model, supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
