ITM Power has secured a significant agreement to provide more than 300MW of electrolysers for a green hydrogen project in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The customer, who remains confidential at this stage, aims to utilize the electrolysers to produce green hydrogen for a power plant, with the goal of reducing carbon emissions. The project, which has been approved for funding by local authorities, is currently pending a Final Investment Decision (FID). Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM Power, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration and the progress being made in terms of engineering, permitting, and overall plant integration for this large-scale initiative. Founded in 2000, ITM Power PLC specializes in designing and manufacturing electrolysers based on proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology to produce green hydrogen. The company, headquartered in Sheffield, England, was listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2004. This project represents a significant step towards utilizing renewable electricity and water to create green hydrogen as a net-zero energy gas.
