Telang Usan assemblyman Dato Dennis Ngau has proposed a pioneering green energy project in Long Bedian sub-district, Sarawak, to provide round-the-clock electricity to rural communities. During a debate at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly, Ngau suggested the implementation of a solar and hydrogen energy system to meet the electricity needs sustainably. Emphasizing the shift from harmful sources like diesel generators, the project aims to improve the living standards in the region. The proposed system would cater to various establishments, including households, government offices, schools, clinics, and oil palm plantations. Ngau highlighted the success of a similar system at Long Loyang Health Clinic and urged for its expansion to benefit off-grid rural villages.
