In Jaipur, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi unveiled the 435-MW Gorbea Solar Power Project developed by Zelestra India in Rajasthan. This project, completed in under eight months and spanning 1,250 acres, is supported by a 25-year power purchase agreement. Minister Joshi commended Rajasthan for its significant renewable energy capacity, with over 35.4 gigawatts installed, primarily from solar and wind sources. He highlighted the project's unique approach of involving farmers as partners by leasing land from them, offering a stable income and recognizing their contribution to the energy sector. Joshi also praised CM Bhajan Lal Sharma for spearheading policy and investment reforms, including the Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024 and the Rajasthan Green Hydrogen Policy. Rajasthan has seen substantial investment commitments, with a focus on renewable energy and green hydrogen. Additionally, over 49,000 rooftop installations were completed under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Rajasthan, with significant subsidies disbursed.
