In eastern Slovakia, Tomark Proton is spearheading the development of a hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft, supported by the European Union as a flagship clean mobility project. This innovative aircraft aims to replace traditional helicopters with a cleaner alternative and revolutionize urban transport and logistics. The six-year, €64.8 million program includes not only the aircraft but also the development of lightweight, recyclable hydrogen tanks and valves for broader use in aviation and transportation. The project envisions a comprehensive hydrogen mobility ecosystem, covering green hydrogen production, storage, fueling infrastructure, and potential applications like autonomous drones. The Slovak prototype has garnered attention from across Europe and the Middle East, with collaborations established with prominent international companies.
