Tosyali Algeria, the Algerian subsidiary of Tosyali Holding, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sonatrach and Hecate Energy to develop a green hydrogen project for low-carbon steel production. This initiative is part of supporting Algeria's energy transition and sustainable industrial development. Earlier in July 2024, Tosyali Algeria and Sonatrach had signed an MoU to study green hydrogen's use in steelmaking. The project will progress in two stages: an initial assessment phase to evaluate feasibility, applicability, and commercial viability, followed by the construction and operation of green hydrogen production facilities. This strategic collaboration signifies a significant step towards advancing green initiatives in Algeria's industrial sector.
