During a meeting with Foshan government officials, His Highness Sheikh Saud witnessed the signing of a hydrogen cooperation agreement between Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) and the Foshan Institute of Environment and Energy Technology (FIEET). This agreement follows a broader agreement signed with Guangdong Province during His Highness Sheikh Saud’s visit to China in November. The agreement, signed by RAKTA Director-General Esmaeel Hasan Alblooshi and President of FIEET Professor Wang Ziyuan, aims to deepen innovation in hydrogen energy and align with strategic development goals in the hydrogen sector. His Highness Sheikh Saud emphasized RAK's dedication to fostering partnerships in technology and sustainable development. The cooperation will focus on promoting hydrogen-powered public transport, supporting clean energy infrastructure and green hydrogen supply systems, as well as researching and industrializing hydrogen technologies like electrolysers and fuel cells. RAKTA Director-General Esmaeel Hasan Alblooshi expressed pride in the partnership, aiming to build a long-term relationship that supports hydrogen energy development. The meeting also saw discussions with a government delegation from Guangzhou, focusing on strengthening ties in sectors such as the digital economy, smart cities, tourism, and advanced manufacturing, building upon the RAK-Guangdong agreement.
