The inauguration of this truck by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai signals a commitment to environmental sustainability. Adani Enterprises, in collaboration with Indian and international energy technology firms, is spearheading the development of hydrogen fuel cell battery-operated trucks for cargo transport. Each truck, with advanced smart technology and three hydrogen tanks, can efficiently transport heavy loads over considerable distances while emitting minimal environmental pollutants. The move towards hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the mining sector is poised to reduce emissions, noise levels, India's reliance on crude oil imports, and overall carbon footprint. The CEO of Natural Resources and Director of Adani Enterprises, Vinay Prakash, highlighted the incorporation of sustainable practices in mining operations, such as autonomous dozer push technologies and solar power, to ensure eco-friendly mining processes. Adani Enterprises, a key player in green energy initiatives, will also supply hydrogen cells sourced from its subsidiary specializing in renewable energy.
