The Nor-Shipping maritime trade fair in Oslo was a major success for eCap Marine, a leading provider of engineering services for emission-free power generation systems. The company's expertise in green marine propulsion systems and onshore power supply garnered significant interest, leading to two important contracts. eCap Marine is at the forefront of hydrogen propulsion solutions in the marine industry, having retrofitted the offshore supply vessel Coastal Liberty with hydrogen-powered propulsion. They are now working on constructing two zero-emission short-sea container vessels for Samskip, set to be the first in the world to use green hydrogen as fuel. Additionally, Møre Sjø has ordered two hydrogen-powered bulk carriers to operate in Norwegian waters. These projects involve equipping the vessels with hydrogen fuel cells and compressed hydrogen tank systems for emission-free transportation. eCap Marine believes in the future of hydrogen as a marine fuel and takes full responsibility for delivering energy from hydrogen to drive the maritime energy transition.
