Additionally, the government plans to initiate a pilot program that will introduce hydrogen-powered street sweepers to the city. By 2027, there are ambitious targets to set up hydrogen refueling infrastructure spanning across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories. Moreover, legislative amendments are on the horizon, with proposals slated for submission to the legislature in the first half of the upcoming year. These amendments will form a crucial legal framework governing the production, storage, transportation, supply, and usage of hydrogen as a fuel.
