Elemental Energy, a UK-based clean tech company, has launched two new hybrid microgrid systems, the H2IPO200 and H2IPO500, designed specifically for construction sites and off-grid locations in the UK and Europe. These power solutions integrate cutting-edge hydrogen fuel cell technology from Toyota Motor Europe with batteries to ensure continuous power supply without emissions. The systems offer modular outputs of 100, 200, or 500kVA, making them versatile and easy to set up. A notable feature is the use of PEM fuel cells that operate silently, providing a strong zero-emission alternative in areas where accessing clean energy has been challenging. What sets these microgrid systems apart is their user-friendly design and the inclusion of a 99kg hydrogen mini-trailer by Elemental for hassle-free fueling, eliminating the need for complex infrastructure. With an anticipated service life of over 15 years, these systems are built to withstand harsh environments while contributing to industrial decarbonization efforts. The unveiling of these innovative microgrids took place at VINCI's Innovation Inspiration Day 2025, an event organized by the VINCI Group to showcase advancements in cleaner and smarter energy solutions. Elemental's hybrid microgrids align perfectly with the event's theme by addressing emission reduction, noise control, and energy accessibility challenges commonly faced in industries transitioning towards sustainable practices.
