Cyient, a global provider of engineering solutions, has secured a strategic contract to support the development of a green hydrogen production and distribution facility in Langstranda, Bodø, Norway. The project is a joint venture between GreenH, a Norwegian infrastructure company, and Luxcara, a Germany-based asset manager. The facility will supply green hydrogen to Norway's maritime sector and heavy transport industries, particularly supporting Torghatten Nord AS in operating Vestfjorden ferries. This initiative aligns with Norway's decarbonization goals for maritime transport. Construction of the facility began in fall 2024, with Cyient responsible for owner's engineering and detailed plant engineering services. The collaboration aims at completing the detailed engineering for the hydrogen plant and enabling procurement, construction, and installation. GreenH's COO, Espen Lied, expressed excitement about the partnership with Cyient, emphasizing the importance of Cyient's expertise in realizing their hydrogen vision in Bodø.
