CaetanoBus has unveiled a new generation of city buses, including 8.5m, 12m, and 18m models, showcasing advanced features for urban transportation. The buses boast high-energy-density LFP cells and Toyota Fuel Cell Stack Generation 2.5 for efficient performance. Utilizing technology from CRRC, the buses integrate powertrains and battery systems from CATL, ensuring enhanced efficiency and safety. The battery electric buses have varying capacities, with the highest being 700kWh for the 18m model, providing a dependable performance over ten years. Moreover, the hydrogen-powered buses feature the Toyota Fuel Cell Stack Generation 2.5 and can now accommodate up to 170kWh battery packs. The inclusion of a CRRC powertrain and a six-in-one inverter system in both electric and hydrogen buses aims to increase overall vehicle efficiency, safety, while reducing weight by up to 70%.
