The People's Government of Zhuhai City released a Work Plan focused on enhancing air quality by promoting the adoption of clean and low-carbon transportation options. The plan mandates that all newly added or replaced buses in Zhuhai should be electric vehicles (EVs) or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Similarly, taxis and online ride-hailing vehicles are required to use new energy vehicles (NEVs), with a target of over 60% NEVs and energy-efficient vehicles for official vehicles each year. The plan also encourages the use of NEVs for official car rentals and aims for over 80% adoption in urban logistics, postal, and sanitation vehicles. Moreover, the city plans to phase out older diesel trucks by implementing measures like restricted traffic zones. This initiative showcases Zhuhai's commitment to sustainable urban planning and transitioning towards cleaner, more efficient transportation methods to reduce emissions and improve air quality.
