Aslan Energy Capital's recent workshop in Batam marked a significant milestone in Indonesia's renewable energy landscape. The workshop clarified details of a 1,200 MWp solar plant, integral to Aslan's sustainable hydrogen hub initiative. This project aims to connect clean power generation with green hydrogen production, supporting Indonesia's renewable energy objectives and positioning Batam as a pivotal clean energy center in Southeast Asia. The solar development on post-mining lands not only facilitates environmental restoration but also creates over 2,000 jobs in the region, accompanied by social programs for community upliftment. Muthu Chezhian, CEO of Aslan Energy Capital, emphasized the project's importance in leading the transition to clean energy in the region. Since initiating the Request for Qualification process, Aslan has received significant interest from global renewable energy developers, highlighting the project's potential. The workshop's transparent and inclusive approach reflects Aslan's commitment to a well-coordinated project development process. With 17 prequalified developers moving to the final bidding stage, the project's global appeal and competitive nature indicate a promising path towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future for Indonesia and beyond.
