The 2025 edition of The Liveability Challenge, hosted in Singapore by Temasek Foundation and Eco-Business, celebrated innovative solutions for addressing climate change. The competition, featuring two tracks - 'Cool Earth' and 'Decarbonisation', awarded top prizes of S$1M to two outstanding finalists. Krosslinker from Singapore impressed the judges with its aerogel nanomaterial capable of reducing temperatures significantly, while Ayrton Energy from Canada wowed with its liquid hydrogen carrier system for storage and transportation. Additional investments were granted to the winners to further develop their technologies. Notably, support was extended to other finalists like Australia's CO2Tech for their hybrid carbon capture and storage solution. Temasek Foundation's Head of Climate & Liveability emphasized the importance of fostering deep-tech innovations for decarbonization and highlighted plans to expand climate tech competitions across the region. This commitment aligns with the goal of accelerating the commercialization of groundbreaking solutions to benefit both people and the planet.
