The Clean Hydrogen Partnership introduced the Project Development Assistance (PDA) programme in July 2025, with the goal of expediting the establishment of Hydrogen Valleys across the EU and Horizon Europe regions. These localized ecosystems are designed to integrate renewable hydrogen production, storage, distribution, and application in sectors like transportation and industry. The PDA initiative offers hands-on consulting support to selected projects, aiding them in becoming investment-ready and progressing towards their Final Investment Decision (FID). The programme is set to grant up to 15 projects, with the application deadline set for 19 September 2025. The collaborative efforts of Roland Berger, Worley, and Inycom will drive the support mechanism, in alignment with broader European strategies such as the REPowerEU Plan and the European Green Deal. This strategic move is aimed at expediting the adoption of green hydrogen, diminishing the dependence on fossil fuels, and fostering a more robust economy. The focus is on transforming hydrogen infrastructure from a mere concept into a viable solution for industrial decarbonization and sustainable energy practices.
