The ORLEN Group in Poland has secured PLN 1.7 billion in non-repayable funding under the National Recovery Plan for its Green H2 and Hydrogen Eagle projects. This financial support will be utilized to enhance the production of renewable and low-emission hydrogen through technologies like electrolysis powered by renewable energy and waste-to-hydrogen processes. The strategic investment aims to accelerate progress in the hydrogen sector and expand infrastructure efficiently, benefiting both domestic and European supply networks. ORLEN's commitment to hydrogen technology aligns with its goal to increase electrolysis-based hydrogen production to 0.9 GW by 2035, with a significant portion originating from Poland. Similarly, the Green H2 project by LOTOS Green H2, a subsidiary of ORLEN, targets the production of renewable hydrogen for refinery operations.
