In Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu signed two clean energy MoUs worth Rs 51,000 crore at the Green Hydrogen Summit, highlighting the state's potential to lead India's green energy revolution. The summit saw the announcement of transformative projects including a 1 MMTPA Green Ammonia project and a Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia project, expected to create over 10,500 green jobs. CM Naidu stressed the importance of reducing energy costs, adopting green energy, and tackling global warming through green hydrogen initiatives. The event also showcased advanced technologies and projects focusing on hydrogen, ethanol production, green hydrogen manufacturing plants, EV stations, and e-waste recycling. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for synergy between government, tech infrastructure, and industry to scale profitable clean energy solutions. Andhra Pradesh's Integrated Clean Energy Policy aims to generate 7.5 lakh jobs and produce green hydrogen and its derivatives, alongside promoting electrolyser manufacturing, solar, wind, and pumped storage projects. The state aims to play a significant role in achieving the National Hydrogen Mission's targets. CM Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in clean energy transition and highlighted the state's advantages like solar and wind energy, making it an attractive destination for clean energy investors. The summit concluded with the adoption of the Amaravati Green Hydrogen Declaration 2025, solidifying Andhra Pradesh's commitment to sustainable energy practices and global leadership in green hydrogen innovation.
