Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh emphasized the significance of green hydrogen as a clean energy solution during the Green Hydrogen Summit at SRM University in Amaravati. Naidu praised SRM University-AP for organizing the summit, aiming to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. He expressed ambitions to make Andhra Pradesh India's Hydrogen Valley by leveraging the state's renewable energy resources and strategic geographical advantages. Highlighting the state's commitment to clean energy, Naidu announced the Integrated Clean Energy Policy with a target of attracting a 10 lakh crore investment. The policy also aims to establish a 3 GW capacity for electrolyser manufacturing along with investments in solar, wind, and pumped energy storage. Andhra Pradesh signed transformative MoUs during the summit for green ammonia and green hydrogen projects totaling investments of `51,000 crore, potentially creating over 10,500 green jobs.
