The Green Hydrogen Summit-2025 was recently inaugurated at SRM University-AP in Amaravati, India, by Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The two-day summit brought together global experts, researchers, policymakers, and industrialists to address the crucial need for a clean energy transition. CM Naidu declared Andhra Pradesh as a hub for green hydrogen development, highlighting the state's significant investment and job creation opportunities in the sector. The event aimed to promote affordable and cost-effective clean energy solutions, with a focus on creating a more sustainable and forward-looking future. Dr V K Saraswat from NITI Aayog commended the National Hydrogen Mission and emphasized the importance of cleaner fuels for a carbon-neutral future. Various speakers at the summit stressed the role of investments, government policies, and skill development in driving the establishment of green hydrogen plants. SRM University-AP announced the launch of an Innovation Centre for Green Hydrogen Technologies and a Department of Energy Engineering to nurture innovation and skill development in the clean energy sector. The event, jointly organized by multiple institutions and government bodies, aimed to explore research, innovation, and commercialization opportunities in the green hydrogen sector through keynote addresses, plenary sessions, and interactions with industry experts.
