The Chhattisgarh government has taken significant steps to enhance its textile and apparel manufacturing sector by signing a MoU with the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI). During the CMAI FAB show in Mumbai, CM Vishnu Deo Sai engaged with potential investors to promote investments in the state. The government's focus on the textile industry's growth includes plans for a NIFT campus and a facilitation centre for textile and apparel manufacturers. In a move towards cleaner transportation for mining logistics, Adani Enterprises has deployed India's first hydrogen fuel cell truck in Chhattisgarh. These trucks, each equipped with smart technology and three hydrogen tanks, have the capacity to carry 40 tons of cargo over 200 km. CM Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the first truck, which will transport coal from the Gare Pelma III Block to the state's power plant. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles offer a sustainable alternative to diesel trucks, with similar range and load capacity but without any harmful emissions. This initiative highlights the state's commitment to eco-friendly practices and promotes the use of clean energy in industrial operations.
