HHP Five Private Limited, a subsidiary of Hygenco Green Energies Pvt Ltd, has initiated the construction of a cutting-edge Green Ammonia Plant in Gopalpur, Odisha. The plant, with a planned production capacity of 1.1 million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA), will be developed in three phases, starting with an initial output of 220,000 tonnes per annum in 2028. The project, graced by Odisha's Chief Minister and industry leaders, marks a significant step towards sustainable industrial growth. This endeavor follows Hygenco's successful venture into the green hydrogen domain, enhancing its contribution to decarbonization efforts. Amit Bansal, CEO of Hygenco, emphasized the project's role in advancing energy self-sufficiency and supporting India's green ammonia sector. Positioned at Gopalpur Port, the facility offers strategic advantages, facilitating a smooth transition to eco-friendly solutions for diverse industries. By aligning with India's 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' mission, the project aims to provide cost-effective and top-tier solutions for decarbonization, while also boosting export capabilities, emphasizing India's position in the global green energy market.
