India and the European Union have jointly launched two major research and innovation initiatives under the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) aimed at addressing critical global challenges. One initiative focuses on Marine Plastic Litter (MPL), targeting issues like micro/nano plastics, bioaccumulation, and pollution mitigation in marine ecosystems. The other initiative, Waste-to-Green Hydrogen (W2GH), aims to develop sustainable hydrogen technologies from biogenic waste, emphasizing catalysts, reactor designs, and carbon-to-hydrogen yield improvement.
