- The integrated design includes a desalination plant for water supply and a mix of solar, wind, and hydropower for renewable energy, showcasing a commitment to sustainability.
- The strategic location of the facility will position it as a major supplier of green hydrogen and ammonia to European and Asian markets, supporting global decarbonization efforts.
Juno Joule Green Energy Private Limited from India has partnered with Germany-based energy trading firm S.E.T. Select Energy GmbH and its subsidiary to co-develop and market green ammonia in Andhra Pradesh. The MoU was signed during the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 in Rotterdam, emphasizing Indo-German collaboration in the green energy sector. The proposed facility near Mulapeta Port on India’s East Coast will be a significant green fuel infrastructure investment, producing one million tons of green ammonia annually from 180,000 tons of green hydrogen. With an integrated desalination plant, the project ensures water sustainability by converting seawater for electrolysis. The energy supply will come from a mix of solar, wind, and hydropower, meeting RFNBO standards. The partnership aims to support global decarbonization by eliminating over 1.8 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually. This initiative highlights bilateral cooperation between India and Germany and emphasizes advancing the green molecule economy for a sustainable energy future.
