Both sides agreed to leverage expertise in ship design and shipyard capacity to produce eco-friendly vessels. The focus on promoting sustainable ship-breaking practices and improving environmental standards was highlighted, with a potential partnership in the Alang Ship Recycling Yard. India invited Norwegian firms to explore joint ventures in ocean renewable energy and deep-sea exploration. The proposal to conduct a joint feasibility study for the Northern Sea Route and collaborate on Arctic navigation demonstrates a commitment to advancing maritime technologies and sustainable practices.
