The BRICS Energy Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to energy security, UN Sustainable Development Goal 7, and inclusive energy transitions. They stressed the importance of partnerships, fair energy markets, and local currency use in energy trade. The ministers advocated for efficient energy source utilization, increased financing for developing nations, and doubled energy efficiency by 2030. India invited BRICS nations to the 2026 Energy Gathering, aiming to lead the energy agenda for the Global South and enhance global energy cooperation.
