Larsen and Toubro's subsidiary, L&T Energy Green Tech, has secured a notable achievement by winning the bid to establish a 10,000 tonnes per annum green hydrogen plant at Indian Oil Corporation's (IOCL) Panipat refinery in Haryana, India. The project, based on a build, own, operate (BOO) model for 25 years, will see L&T Energy Green Tech supplying green hydrogen at ₹397 per kg, inclusive of 18% GST. In a competitive tender, L&T outperformed NTPC Renewable Energy and Renew E Fuels, emerging as the preferred choice for this pioneering initiative. This win signifies a crucial milestone for L&T in the burgeoning Green Hydrogen domain.
