Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd. has entered into a strategic joint venture with Israel-based Heven Drones Ltd to establish 'Paras Heven Drones India' for manufacturing logistics and cargo drones in India. The venture, with a majority stake held by Paras Defence, is a significant step in India's drone sector under the 'Make-in-India' initiative. The partnership will focus on designing, developing, and producing advanced logistics drones capable of carrying payloads ranging from 10 kg to 40 kg for various applications. A key highlight of this collaboration is the integration of Heven Drones' hydrogen-powered technology, offering superior flight endurance compared to conventional battery-powered systems. The hydrogen drones, with models capable of carrying up to 23 kg for 12 hours, present a promising advancement in drone capabilities. The joint venture plans to commence operations with a $1 million initial investment, emphasizing an efficient mix of Israeli imports and domestic manufacturing to enhance cost-effectiveness. The Indian market for logistics drones, estimated to surpass $1 billion, provides a fertile ground for growth. Leveraging Paras Defence's manufacturing expertise and Heven's innovation, the venture aims to lead the market by providing advanced technology at competitive prices. Additionally, plans for global exports highlight the companies' ambition to expand beyond national borders.
